Jo-Ann Lewis – Woodford Green IG8

Jo-Ann Lewis worked in the charity sector before moving into private practice as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist. She did her initial training at the Association for Group and Individual Psychotherapy and then went on to train at the British Psychotherapy Foundation.

She has since undertaken more in-depth training and has qualified as a Senior Member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation. She offers sessions ranging from one to four times a week and is a training therapist on several of the psychodynamic and psychoanalytic psychotherapy training courses.

She also has experience in providing individual supervision and running supervision and reflective practice groups in organizations

She is based in Woodford Green and is well connected to most of East London and parts of Essex. Stratford Station is 15mins away by train and you can get to her using the Central Line embarking either at Woodford or South Woodford stations (approximately 15 – 20min walk); the W14 and the 275 bus routes stop close by and she is near to the north circular by car.

Psychoanalytic psychotherapy provides a safe space to think about troubling emotional problems with a therapist who will not judge but listens to what you are saying, and perhaps what you are not saying, to understand the causes of present distress.

It is not a quick fix but, at best, offers the possibility of long term changes in the way you view yourself and the world around you.
